About Isopropyl Cresols
Isopropyl cresols are phenols substituted with a mixture of isomeric methyl and propyl groups.[1] In cosmetics, they are used to inhibit the growth of microorganisms in products and delay deterioration during storage.[4] In Korea, they may be used in finished cosmetic products at up to 0.1%.[2] In Europe, they are permitted at up to 0.1% when used as preservatives.[3]
