About Isopropanolamine

Isopropanolamine is an aliphatic amine.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to buffer the formulation so its acidity does not change abruptly.[3] In Europe, the secondary amine content of finished products is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and nitrosamine content must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
