Isoamyl P-Methoxycinnamate is an ester of isoamyl alcohol and p-methoxycinnamic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce changes to products and formula ingredients caused by ultraviolet radiation and to absorb or reflect ultraviolet radiation, reducing the amount that reaches the skin.[4] In Korea, it may be used at up to 10% in finished cosmetic products.[2] In Europe, up to 10% is permitted when used as a UV-filtering ingredient.[3]
