About Ipdi/PEG-15 Cocamine Copolymer
Ipdi/PEG-15 Cocamine Copolymer is a copolymer of isophorone diisocyanate and PEG-15 cocamine monomers.[1] The number 15 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units. With the same basic structure, changing this number may also change water compatibility and the formulation's viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to smooth hair by reducing tangling and rough feel, to leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth, and to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
