Hydroxystearic/Linolenic/Linoleic Polyglycerides are obtained by polymerizing a mixture of mono-, di-, and triglycerides of hydroxystearic, linolenic, and linoleic acids.[1] In cosmetics, they are used to help the ingredients in a formulation bind together and maintain its form, reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, and keep water-and-oil emulsions from separating easily.[2] They are also used to adjust viscosity and flow properties.[2]
