Hydrolyzed Calf Skin is the hydrolysate of cow skin obtained using acid, enzymes, or another hydrolysis method.[1] However, it does not include ingredients derived from cattle originating in the United Kingdom or Northern Ireland, tissues infected with BSE, ingredients containing such tissues, or ingredients derived from specified risk materials from areas where mad cow disease has been reported (18 parts of ruminants such as cattle, sheep, and goats).[1]
