Hydrolyzed Beeswax is the hydrolysate of beeswax obtained through acid, enzymatic, or other hydrolysis methods.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, to help prevent the emulsified state from separating easily, and to help keep the formulation’s condition and properties from changing readily during storage.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so that raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
