About Hydrogenated Vegetable Glycerides

Hydrogenated Vegetable Glycerides are a mixture of hydrogenated mono-, di-, and triglycerides of vegetable oils.[1] In cosmetics, they are used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and leave the skin's surface feeling soft and smooth.[2] They are also used to lower surface tension so that ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly, and to adjust a formulation's viscosity and flow properties.[2]
