About Hydrogenated Vegetable Glyceride
Hydrogenated Vegetable Glyceride is an ingredient obtained by controlled hydrogenation of vegetable monoglycerides.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel; to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed; and to help keep the formulation’s state and properties from changing easily during storage.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly and to adjust the formulation’s viscosity and flow.[2]
