About Hydrogenated Talloweth-12
Hydrogenated Talloweth-12 is the polyethylene glycol ether of hydrogenated tallow alcohol, with an average ethoxylation value of 12.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, to help keep the formula’s condition and properties from changing easily during storage, and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2] It is also used to adjust the formula’s viscosity and flow.[2]
