About Hydrogenated Tallow Betaine
Hydrogenated Tallow Betaine is a zwitterion (inner salt).[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static that makes hair strands lift or stick together, help sebum and impurities wash away with water, and increase the amount of foam and help it resist collapsing.[2] It is also used to reduce hair tangling and roughness for smoother-looking hair, lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly, and adjust the viscosity and flow of a formula.[2]
