About Hydrogenated Tallow Acid
Hydrogenated Tallow Acid is a material obtained by hydrogenating tallow acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, reduce friction and add a smooth feel to skin or hair, and create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2] It is also used to reduce light transmission so the contents appear less visible, and to lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
