About Hydrogenated Palmtrimonium Chloride

Hydrogenated Palmtrimonium Chloride is a quaternary ammonium salt.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, reduce hair tangling and rough feel to leave hair smooth, and inhibit the growth of microorganisms in the product to slow deterioration during storage.[3] In Europe, when used as a preservative, it is permitted at up to 0.1%.[2]
