About Graphene

Graphene is an allotrope of carbon characterized by a single layer of carbon atoms bonded in a hexagonal lattice.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to increase the volume of the formula and control the amount of solids, bind metal ions and reduce their effects on color, scent, and formula stability, and add color to the product or area of application.[2] It is also used to reduce changes to the product and formula ingredients caused by ultraviolet radiation.[2]
