About Glycol Oleate

Glycol Oleate is an ester of ethylene glycol and oleic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, and create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly blended.[2] It is also used to leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth.[2]
