About Glycol Ditallowate
Glycol Ditallowate is a diester of ethylene glycol and tallow acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, reduce light transmission so the contents appear less visible, and leave the skin surface soft and smooth.[2] It is also used to adjust the viscosity and flow of formulations.[2] It is primarily a resin-derived fatty acid with the following structure.[1]
