About Glycol Dibehenate
Glycol Dibehenate is a diester of ethylene glycol and behenic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, reduce light transmission so the contents appear less visible through the package, and leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[2] It is also used to adjust the viscosity and flow of the formula.[2]
