About Glyceryl Tallowate
Glyceryl Tallowate is a monoester of glycerin and tallow fatty acids.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and smooth and soften the skin surface.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and disperse evenly.[2]
