About Glyceryl Olivate Oleate Estolides
Glyceryl Olivate Oleate Estolides are products obtained by reacting Glyceryl Olivate with estolides formed from oleic acid.[1] In cosmetics, they are used to help keep emulsions of water and oil from separating, attract water to the formula and skin surface to maintain moisture, and lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2] They are also used to adjust the viscosity and flow of a formula.[2] The number of fatty acids in the estolide backbone is 2 or more.[1]
