About Glyceryl Isostearates
Glyceryl Isostearates are a mixture of mono-, di-, and triesters of isostearic acid and glycerin.[1] In cosmetics, they are used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and leave the skin surface soft and smooth.[2] They are also used to lower surface tension so that raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
