About Glyceryl Isostearate/Myristate
Glyceryl Isostearate/Myristate is a monoester of glycerin formed by esterifying a mixture of isostearic and myristic acids.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
