About Glyceryl Arachidate

Glyceryl Arachidate is the monoester of glycerin and arachidic acid.[1] The moisturizing feel and spreadability of finished products containing it may vary depending on the use level and the combination of moisturizing and emollient ingredients used with it. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, and to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
