About Glycereth-31

Glycereth-31 is a polyethylene glycol ether of glycerin with an average ethoxylation value of 31.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to attract water to the formula and skin surface to help maintain moisturization; to leave the skin surface soft and smooth; and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2] It is also used to adjust the viscosity and flow of the formula.[2]
