About Euphorbia Cerifera Wax

Candelilla wax is a wax extracted from candelilla.[1] Because it is primarily composed of fatty components obtained from candelilla, it mixes more readily with oils than with water. It is suitable for adding slip and a soft feel to skin or hair and for reducing the sensation of moisture evaporating quickly. In cosmetics, it is used to provide a temporary tightening, astringent feel on the skin or scalp, help prevent emulsions of water and oil from separating, and form a thin film on the surface of the skin, hair, or nails after application.[2] It is also used to add fragrance to products, adjust the viscosity and flow of a formula, and leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[2] It is used to reduce moisture loss from the skin surface.[2]
