About Ethylhexyl Triazone
Ethylhexyl Triazone is a heterocyclic organic compound.[1] Its structure absorbs specific wavelengths of ultraviolet radiation and converts them into other energy, and it is used within permitted product types and concentrations to reduce the amount of ultraviolet radiation reaching the skin. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce changes to products and formula ingredients caused by ultraviolet radiation and to absorb or reflect ultraviolet radiation, reducing the amount reaching the skin.[3] In Europe, it is permitted up to a maximum of 5% when used as a UV filter.[2]
