About Ethylhexyl Dimethyl Paba
Ethylhexyl Dimethyl Paba is an ester of 2-ethylhexyl alcohol and dimethyl p-aminobenzoic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce changes to the product and formula ingredients caused by ultraviolet radiation and to absorb or reflect ultraviolet radiation, reducing the amount that reaches the skin.[3] In Europe, when used as a UV-filtering ingredient, it is permitted at concentrations up to 8%.[2]
