Ethyl Phenylalaninamido Polygamma-Glutamic Acid is polygamma-glutamic acid in which some carboxylic groups have been replaced with amides formed by reaction with the ethyl ester of phenylalanine.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, to leave the skin’s surface soft and smooth, and to reduce surface tension so that raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
