Ethyl Aminolevulinate Hcl is an ester in which parts derived from an acid and an alcohol are joined.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to inhibit the growth of microorganisms, slow the oxidation of formula ingredients caused by reactions with oxygen, and help manage shine caused by sebum and scalp or skin condition.[1] It is also used to leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[1]
