Ditrimethylolpropane Myristate/Stearate is a tetraester of Ditrimethylolpropane and a mixture of Myristic Acid and Stearic Acid, in which the RCO- groups are mainly derived from the mixture of Myristic Acid and Stearic Acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, and to leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[2]
