Ditridecyl Sodium Sulfosuccinate is the sodium salt of the diester of tridecyl alcohol and sulfosuccinic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help wash away sebum and impurities with water, increase the amount of foam and help it last longer, and help water-insoluble ingredients disperse more evenly in the water phase.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
