About Disodium Oleoamphodipropionate

Disodium Oleoamphodipropionate is an amphoteric organic compound.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, and increase the amount of foam and help it remain stable.[2] It is also used to promote foam formation during use, reduce hair tangling and rough feel for smoother manageability, and help ingredients that do not dissolve well in water disperse more evenly in the water phase.[2] It is used to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
