About Disodium Myristamido Mea-Sulfosuccinate

Disodium Myristamido Mea-Sulfosuccinate is the disodium salt of a substituted ethanolamide half-ester of sulfosuccinic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, increase the amount of foam while helping it remain stable, and help form foam during use.[2] It is also used to help ingredients that do not dissolve readily in water disperse more evenly in the aqueous phase and to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and disperse evenly.[2]
