About Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate

Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate is the disodium salt of the ethoxylated lauryl alcohol half ester of sulfosuccinic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, increase the amount of foam and help it resist collapsing, and form foam during use.[2] It is also used to help ingredients that are poorly soluble in water disperse more evenly in the aqueous phase, and to lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
