Disodium Isostearoamphodiacetate is an aliphatic organic compound.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help wash away sebum and impurities with water, increase the amount of foam and help it last longer, and generate foam during use.[2] It is also used to reduce tangling and rough feel in hair for a smoother finish, help water-insoluble ingredients disperse more evenly in the water phase, and reduce surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and disperse evenly.[2]
