About Disodium Isodecyl Sulfosuccinate

Disodium Isodecyl Sulfosuccinate is the disodium salt of the half ester of branched-chain decyl alcohol and sulfosuccinic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, increase the amount of foam and help it last longer, and form foam during use.[2] It is also used to help ingredients that are poorly soluble in water disperse more evenly in the water phase, leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth, and reduce surface tension so that ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
