About Disodium Hydrogenated Tallow Glutamate

Disodium Hydrogenated Tallow Glutamate is the sodium salt of the hydrogenated tallow acid amide of glutamic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help rinse sebum and impurities away with water, reduce tangling and roughness in hair for easier smoothing, and leave the skin’s surface soft and smooth.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
