Disodium Cocamido Mipa-Sulfosuccinate is the disodium salt of a substituted isopropanolamide half-ester of sulfosuccinic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help wash away sebum and impurities with water, increase the amount of foam and help it last longer, and generate foam during use.[2] It is also used to help water-insoluble ingredients disperse more evenly in the water phase, leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth, and reduce surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and disperse evenly.[2]
