About Disodium Cocamido Mea-Sulfosuccinate

Disodium Cocamido Mea-Sulfosuccinate is the disodium salt of a substituted ethanolamide half ester of sulfosuccinic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, form foam during use, and help water-insoluble ingredients disperse more evenly in the water phase.[2] It also helps leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth and lowers surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
