About Disodium Caproamphodipropionate

Disodium Caproamphodipropionate is an amphoteric organic compound.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, increase the amount of foam and help it last longer, and form foam during use.[2] It is also used to reduce hair tangling and rough feel, leaving hair smooth and well-groomed; help ingredients that do not dissolve readily in water disperse more evenly in the water phase; and reduce surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and disperse evenly.[2]
