Disodium C12-14 Sec-Alketh-3 Sulfosuccinate has an average degree of ethoxylation of 3.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly; increase the amount of foam and help it last longer; and help ingredients that do not dissolve well in water disperse more evenly in the water phase.[2] It is also used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water.[2]
