About Disodium C12-14 Pareth-1 Sulfosuccinate
Disodium C12-14 Pareth-1 Sulfosuccinate is the disodium salt of ethoxylated and partially esterified sulfosuccinic acid.[1] The number 1 at the end of the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added; it changes the balance between water-loving and oil-loving parts, resulting in differences in cleansing power, emulsifying ability, and feel. In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water and to lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
