About Dipropylene Glycol Salicylate
Dipropylene Glycol Salicylate is an ester of Dipropylene Glycol and Salicylic Acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, to leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth, and to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2] It is also used to leave the skin or hair feeling fresh and neat and to adjust the viscosity and flow of the formula.[2].
