About Dioleoyl Edetolmonium Methosulfate
Dioleoyl Edetolmonium Methosulfate is a quaternary ammonium salt.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, buffer the formula so its acidity does not change rapidly, and create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2] It is also used to reduce tangling and rough feel in hair for smoother conditioning, and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
