Dimethylol Ethylene Thiourea is a heterocyclic organic compound.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to inhibit the growth of microorganisms and to reduce tangling and rough feel in hair for smoother grooming.[4] In Korea, it may be used at up to 2% only in hair and nail products. However, it may not be used in aerosol products (sprays only). It may not be used in other products.[2] In Europe, it may not be used in aerosol spray products.[3]
