About Dimethyl Soyamine
Dimethyl Soyamine is a tertiary aliphatic amine derived from soy acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly combined, and reduce hair tangling and rough feel for smoother grooming.[3] In Europe, it is permitted at up to 2.5% in leave-on products, with no separate maximum concentration specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamine content must not exceed 50 μg/kg.[2]
