About Dimethyl Lauramine
Dimethyl lauramine is a tertiary aliphatic amine.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that makes hair strands lift or stick together and to reduce tangling and roughness in hair for a smoother finish.[3] In Europe, it is limited to a maximum of 2.5% in leave-on products, while no separate maximum concentration is set for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
