About Dimethicone/Polyglycerin-3 Crosspolymer

Dimethicone/Polyglycerin-3 Crosspolymer is a polymer of dimethicone crosslinked with diallyl polyglycerin-3.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly, and to adjust the formula’s viscosity and flow.[2]
