Dimethicone/Phenyl Silsesquioxane/Phenyl Bis-Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer is a silicone resin obtained by hydrolysis and condensation of a mixture of Phenyltriethoxysilane, Dimethyldimethoxysilane, and Bis(trimethoxysilylethyl)benzene in a suitable solvent, followed by surface treatment with Trimethylchlorosilane or Hexamethyldisilazane.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to absorb liquids such as water or oil in formulas.[2]
