Dilaureth-7 Citrate is a diester of citric acid and Laureth-7.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to leave the skin surface soft and smooth.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so that raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
