About Dilaureth-4 Dimonium Chloride

Dilaureth-4 Dimonium Chloride is a quaternary ammonium compound.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or cling together, create emulsion formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and reduce tangling and roughness so hair feels smoother and more manageable.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
